Healthy snack options for weight loss!

Right, so today we are going to talk to you about some snack ideas.

Snack ideas, it’s got to be one of the most common questions that we get asked.

I love my snacks, so do i.

So, Stephen, Rab, what should I snack on?

Here’s an idea, oatcakes. Now these oatcakes are very Scottish and in a packet you’ll get seven, but you might just want to choose one or two oatcakes just for a small snack or if you’re a bit more peckish you can have a few more. I’m a big lad I might have a whole packet of these, but you’ve got to think they are carb-y, they’re full of oats but it’s a good idea and great for putting all of your favourite toppings on. Give her a go, have as many as you want, go bananas.

Another great carb snack is, Ryvita, don’t be fooled by their cardboard texture, they’re quite good, got a bit of variety for flavorings on the top, mix around with some low-fat Philadelphia or even honey on there, you can have a real Ryvita bangtastic night.

They don’t just help you see in the dark they’re actually a very good snack as well, full of betacaramine, the only problem is, they taste damn good don’t get me wrong but, the problem is after about an hour after eating them youre going to be hungry again because there’s really not that much calories in it. They kind of need something to maybe a dip of hummus or something, I wish I’d brought some with me, y’know. A wee bit hummus or…that’s better, much better. Yes carrots a very good snack high in fiber but not a lot of calories in there so I would supplement it with something like hummus and although hummus if full of fat, it’s a really really good fat for you and it certainly will not change your body shape for the worst so no need to worry about getting curvy.

If you are trying to stay away from the carbs and you want something a bit more slow release energy in the morning before work, that type of thing, then nuts. Cashers, pistachios, almonds, hazelnuts, choose which one’s your favourite and a small handful is a very good snack. Depending on the rest of your diet unsalted if possible. Yeah and it’s a really good healthy snack that’s going to maintain a really good blood sugar level if you’re trying to watch your weight.
