Fifty-two ways to do porridge

This morning?

Camping porridge

We need a name for it

Wild wacky porridge

Let’s get stuck in

Let’s get stuck in

So basically we’ve got the camping stove here we’re just boiling up some water, we brought some oats in our little sealy bag here.

Now technically you can just go and find oats right? But Christ it would take you a hell of a long time to get that much, right?

Sow those oats. Right we’re going to pour some of this s**t in. Now we wanted to keep this one nice and simple.

Let’s face it when you’re out in nature you don’t have too many ingredients so we’ve brought some oats with us. We actually went foraging and we got some blackberries.

Which are totally in season.

They are totally in season at the moment in Scotland.

So we’ve got some blackberries so we’re going to make some wild oats with blackberries.

Wild oats sow those wild oats

Soak your oats

Blackberries are a great source of Vitamin C, pretty damn tasty, oh that’s cooking already.

Do you know what? Do you not think we’re spoiled some times? You know when you’re at home and somebody says I don’t really like that it’s a bit bland or you know when we’re naturally in nature, naturally in nature, all we had was these oats, when you’re hungry and you’re out in the wild that smells damn good, right?

Oh God yeah.

I’m gonna chuck the berries in there, alright?

Yeah, try to get some flavour through it.

There we are mate.

Have you got the claw?

The claw.

I think that’s ready, mate.

Woo hoo.

Stevie boy’s trying to put his socks on

There we are.

Let’s get a close up of this bad boy

What did we call it?

Wild wacky oats.

Wild wacky oats.

And there’s nothing wacky about it it’s just wild oats
