feel the fear and do it anyway

Feel the Fear and do it Anyway.

Feel the fear and do it anyway. Facing fear is vital for progression in all walks of life. Fear comes in many forms but its important to recognise when that fear is appropriate. Once a fear is faced, one must turn on their inner lion and take down whatever beast is causing them fear.

Far the fear and do it anyway!

So what do we been by the inner lion? A great analogy is a lion chasing after a wilder beast, which sounds pretty mean! Ultimately the lion is in a little bit of danger because generally they will chase off the weak ones of the herd, however, if the lion was to get stuck amongst the herd itself, their is the real danger of being hurt!

It’s not something they can take on lightly, their is a bit of fear there because they could get really injured, but the bottom line is, they still take action! They feel the fear and do it anyway!

Somewhere amongst the fear they remember they’re the lion, the dominant one and they will face that fear! So this lesson is all about understanding your own fears! We all have them! Fear is a very normal thing to feel. So what you have to understand is that we have become the dominant species on the planet, so most of these fears that we feel on a regular basis are just not appropriate, they’re not relevant. However, it is inbuilt in to our DNA and instincts to feel fear. So when something comes up that you are scared of, it is normally because its fear of the unknown, you have never been there before or indeed, you have been slightly burnt in the past causing apprehension because of past experiences.

So everyday situations that you might have when have to face fear is, for example, public speaking, which we spoken about a few times before. Now going up on stage you might feel that fear! Feel in the fear of forgetting what I’m saying, not sure what I’m talking about or people in the audience more qualified than i am! Ultimately you have to remember that you are the lion. You’re going out there where people have come to hear you speak, so there is a reason that they are there! You have a point and they want to know what your point is! You have to be that lion and face that fear and face it head on!

If you think about the cross over situation, The lion going into attack the wilder beast, there is that fear of being hurt, same as public speaking or any other fear that you experience, there is that slight element of ‘i might get hurt here!’ For example with public speaking, you might lose your train of thought or start stuttering your words, there is always some way that you may get hurt! Ultimately, you are the lion and what is the worst that can happen and ultimately it is not a life or death situation. Any mistakes you make, you will learn from them and come back and hit again, so if the lion goes into a pack, gets slightly hurt, do you think it goes home and cries and never ties again…no! He’s get S up the next day, shakes himself off, mends his wounds and try’s again until he is successful.

Another example that you might think of, we are all about health and happiness, is a fear of going to a gym or even just the initially fear of admitting to yourself that you are not 100% happy with your body, health and fitness. Sometimes by opening yourself up, you have the fear of getting hurt. Whether it be on a personal level or to other people and not being able to connect with other people.

Fear will manifest itself in many different ways, but 99% of these fears are irrelevant! You are not going to die and it is within your own capabilities of facing those fears.

Fear comes in all shapes and forms and it is very important for progression. You are where you are right now because of the choices that you have made. Ultimately, your subconscious is going to want to keep you safe and likes familiarity. So if you want to progress, if you want success what ever that means to you, you have always got to think that you need to something different to get that success and if i have to do something different, there is going to be fear. Fear is that bridge of where you are right now and where you are destined to be! It is up to you when you cross that bridge, whether you are going to cross it as a lion…or a wilder beast!!
